The male panda Little Miracle was born on August 21, 2020 at the Smithsonian National Zoo (also known as the Washington National Zoo). His father is the panda Tiantian and his mother is the panda Meixiang. The name of Little Miracle was selected through online voting. From November 16 to 20, 2020, the Washington National Zoo held an online voting activity for the newborn panda cub. The four candidate names were Fuzai, Little Miracle, Happiness, and Zaizai. In the end, "Little Miracle" became the official name of the panda cub with an absolute leading number of votes, implying that its birth in the United States is a miracle of life. The growth process of Little Miracle is also full of fun. He gradually became brave and confident from a timid little panda. He not only learned to climb trees and demolish the house, but also often ate bamboo shoots in front of the camera, which attracted tourists and netizens to like it. On October 25, 2023, the Smithsonian National Zoo began to prepare for the pandas "Meixiang", "Tiantian" and "Little Miracle" to return to China. After a period of careful preparation, the three pandas boarded a special plane from the United States to return to China on November 8, 2023. At 23:00 Beijing time on November 9, they arrived safely at Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport in Sichuan, and started a new life under the arrangement of the China Conservation and Research Center for the Panda.
