The story of the panda Abao

Abao, a female giant panda born in Atlanta, USA, with lineage number 801, also known as Baolan or Meibao. Born on November 3, 2010 at the Atlanta Zoo in the United States, she is the daughter of the giant panda Yang Yang and the giant panda Lun Lun. At birth, the keeper mistakenly believed that this giant panda was male, so she was named after the protagonist of the movie "Kung Fu Panda" named "Abao". Later, when preparing to return to China, it was unexpectedly discovered that this "Kung Fu Panda" was actually a "girl". On May 15, 2014, she returned to China with her brother "Xilan" and was placed at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. On July 6, 2019, a pair of twins were born, becoming the heaviest born male and female twins in a captive giant panda in the world. On June 24, 2021, another male cub named "Baoxin" was born.
